Busy Moms ("we", "our", or "the app") is a family scheduling and management mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly and information collected automatically through your use of the app.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and profile information (name, family details, preferences).

User-Generated Content: Events, tasks, shopping lists, contacts, notes, and other content you create within the app.

2. Device Permissions

The app requests the following device permissions, each used only for the purposes described:

• Camera: Used to capture images for mental notes and life receipts. Images are only accessed when you explicitly use the camera feature.
• Microphone: Used for voice chat and voice note features. Audio is only recorded when you initiate a voice interaction.
• Location: Used to show nearby stores, calculate travel times, and provide local weather information. Location data is not tracked in the background.
• Calendar: Used to sync events between the app and your device calendar, if you choose to enable this feature.
• Contacts: Used to import family and friend contact information into the app, if you choose to enable this feature.
• Storage: Used to save and share images within the app.
• Notifications: Used to send reminders for events, tasks, and other time-sensitive information you have scheduled.

All permissions are optional. The app will request permission before accessing any of these features, and you can revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.

3. Google Services Integration

If you choose to connect your Google account, the app may access:

• Google Calendar: To sync your calendar events between Google Calendar and the app.
• Google Tasks: To sync your task lists between Google Tasks and the app.
• Google Contacts: To import contact information from your Google account.

Google integration is entirely optional. We store OAuth tokens securely to maintain your connection and only access the specific Google services you authorize. You can disconnect Google services at any time from the app settings.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the app's scheduling, task management, and family organization features
• Sync your data across devices
• Send notifications and reminders you have configured
• Provide weather forecasts for your location
• Improve the app's functionality and user experience

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted database storage and authentication services. Sensitive credentials such as authentication tokens are stored on your device using encrypted secure storage.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and row-level security policies on our database.

6. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase: Authentication and data storage (Privacy Policy)
• Google APIs: Calendar, Tasks, and Contacts integration (Privacy Policy)
• Expo / EAS: App delivery and updates (Privacy Policy)
• OpenAI: AI-powered features such as affirmations and chat (Privacy Policy)

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

8. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Revoke device permissions at any time through your device settings
• Disconnect third-party integrations (Google) at any time

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
